Sick Day

Maya is sick Today. She is sick about three times a year. Always the same weeks. I should remember this after almost five years, but I never do so I never plan accordingly.

We are staying home together until she feels better. It's nice staying home with Maya. She is quite a creative kid and I love seeing what she comes up with to entertain us.

Maya printed out some pictures from the computer this morning and hung them on her bedroom door. She's quite adept on the computer!

Top 10 reasons we love Papa Dave on his Birthday (ok, all the time):

10) He makes us laugh.
9) He is kind.
9) I like his dogs. He has cool dogs.
8) He is generous because he lets us ride in his tractor
7) He drinks chocolate milk.
6) Because I like his barn - Goldie and Baxter and Homey sleep there
5) He has a cool house. It smells nice. he has a cool bunkbed.
4) He lets us walk on the trails
3) He lets us watch TV "(does he even have a tv? did we watch it?)" Maya says after listing this as a reason
2) He built a tree house for us. It's colorful - we got to help paint it.

and the number one reason we love Papa Dave is.....

He has a cool beard, a nice laugh, a generous spirit, and a lovely wife (seriously - maya said "and his lovely wife").

We know. We never write letters. We barely email. We never Call.

BUT - We think that this may be our medium of communication. A blog. We (even Maya) can log on and type anything we want.

We took this picture on the way out the door last weekend the morning after decorating the house for Christmas. We have a "Papa Ed" tree this year. That's what we call our tree on the years that we decide to include Tinsel. I never think I'm going to like it - but in the end I do!

I'm so exited for Christmas im going to Nevada!My uncle Tim is going to teach me how to snow bord.Also some other people are going to be there:My grandma Jane,Grandpa Dave,Aunt Mary,Uncle Scott & our little cousin Carson he is only 2 years old. last time i saw him he named his new fish FISH!!!!!Gess what he got a new dog grandma said she is really cuite.
